Lights

If you want to take full advantage of the lights on your slot cars especially the headlights, you need to race in the dark. You can pretend you are running a 24 hour race through the night or a special spectator stage at a rally. However you need to be able to see the track. If I turn off my loft lights it pitch black and dangerous, so I wanted some scale 'street lights'.

The cheapest way to get a lot of small bulbs is to buy some Christmas tree lights. The bonus is they come with the necessary transformer and are already wired up. If you get the plain ones the 'cable' is thinner. Normal circuit lights do not flash on and off in different patterns. The only problem is that these lights are only available at Christmas. I have bought some (lots) and will make the lamp posts later. Watch this space.
