Here are a selection of sites which I have found useful, interesting or inspiring.

Personal Slot Sites

Dave England's Site

Dave England's Site. Includes the idea to make resin bodies for slot cars using a diecast car as a pattern. He also has designed and hand built a simple metal chassis. His site includes drawings of this chassis as well as photos of other historic chassis from different manufacturers, and some other interesting stuff.

South Mountain Raceway - Home of MarAir

Dana's site. Includes how to build a cheap plastic chassis and a single lane, mountain rally track. Well worth a look.

Southend Slot Racing Club

Bits on the club, but more interesting, stuff on scratch building cars and lots of pictures of repainted cars. It is worth having a look at David Lawson's article on how to Build a set of pits and race track buildings and Derek Baker's Home Track (Scalextric track in his boarded loft). One of my full size cars coincidentaly came from Southend.

Ladybrook Valley Raceway

Well put together site about an excellent circuit made from Scalextric track sections and surrounded by realistic scenery. I notice there are some well painted MRRC figures like I am attempting to do and plastic mesh has been used for fencing as I have done (I did do it before I saw this site but it only proves it is a good idea, even if I didn't have it first). There are also details of a scratch built car. I will be very pleased if my circuit turns out this well.

HO Slot Car Racing

An excellent site by Gregory. Originally only about HO slotcars, but he now owns a good number of 1:32 scale slot cars and a track to race them on. Includes lots of technical information and ideas. I would say this site is well worth a visit.

SlotcarRacing by Jan

An interesting Dutch site (mostly in English) with a number of articles on a variety of products not just from Scalextric. Be warned that it currently has two popup windows.

Aaron's Slotcar Racing Directory

If you like my site you can vote for it at Aaron's site which also contains links to many other slotcar sites.

Commercial Slot Sites

Westwood Models

Robert Learmouth and partner Karen sell obsolete slot cars from this site in the evenings and at weekends when they are not at toy fairs. Big range at prices that seem cheaper than their competitors. I have had a number of cars from them as well as some spares. I would certainly recommend having a look.

phil smith scale slot racing

Phil claims to have over 1500 (mainly obsolete) slot cars for sale, so you should be able to find something of interest. My yellow Ford Escort came from here.

Scale Models

Mark Scale's shop with loads of slot racing stuff, mainly new, but also many obsolete cars. Includes pictures of most things. After you have decided what you are going to buy, take a look at Damian's Track (follow Scenic Track link from the Latest News page.

Pendle Slot Racing

Sean has a very good range of slotcar stuff from a wide range of manufacturers and I have bought a number of things from him. Make sure you check out his Offers as there is always something you will want (at a reduced price).

Barcelona Universal Models

A Spanish retailer who also produce their own slot car chassis on which they mount car bodies from plastic kits. More importantly they make a slot Land Rover. They can also answer e-mail in English and you can purchase stuff in Euros.

Lever Brothers Ltd

Manufacturers of an excellent paint stripper that appears to strip all modelling paints without damaging the plastic model soldiers underneath. It is marketed under the name Domestos and can be found in supermarkets large and small across the country, Great Britain anyway, I don't what it is called elsewhere. We had Jif until it was changed to the international name of Cif (which is pronounced Sif). I blame my brother. This link is to a site that is not very intersting unless you are into cleaning.

Non Slot Related Sites

Adrian's Tomcat

My next project is to build a Tomcat 100" using my 1979 Range Rover as the donor vehicle. You can track my progress by checking out my other web site.

Adrian's Military Vehicle Pictures

This is another site written by me (but not so well written) where I have published the pictures I have taken in the past of military vehicles I have seen. They include contempory British Army vehicles, right back to pre-WW1 armoured cars, and many vehicles from many nations in-between.
